While former chief justice Sophia Akuffo (Rtd) was set on her law path via Wesley Girls’ High School (WASSCE), University of Ghana (Bachelor of law degree), Ghana School of Law (Qualified as Barrister) and Harvard University, USA (Master’s degree in Law ‘LLM’), her daughter Violet Padi chose a different route.
Birthed to Mr. Fred Sam Nii Padi (deceased), Violet has Mama Sophia to thank for nurturing her being an only child.

While she didn’t pay particular attention to the sensitivity of her skin, an itching episode which was only salved when Mama Sophia Akuffo sent shea butter from Ghana gave her a rude awakening.
That awakening plus the potency of the shea butter cream and her background in the hospitality industry birthed a new business of organic, chemical-free skin and hair care products.

Shea Butter and Essential Oils
Faintly remembering Mama Sophia mixed shear butter with eucalyptus oil for smooth skin and pleasant fragrance or smells, Violet started making income from using homemade essential oil-infused shea butter.
The former Meetings & Events Executive at Moevenpick Ambassador Hotel branded her products ‘Sisal Shea’ later named ‘Shea Sentials Gh’ and also starting an events management company Sapphire Events Gh in 2018.
