The Acting CEO of the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), Prof. Nana Ama Browne Klutse, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Omanhen of Abura State to express her gratitude. This visit followed the Omanhen’s directive to his chiefs to formally congratulate her on her appointment as the Acting CEO of the EPA.

During the visit, the Omanhen took the opportunity to personally congratulate Prof. Klutse on her new role. In response, he also requested her confirmation regarding a proposal made by the Abura Traditional Council to enstool her as the Mpuntuhemaa (Development Queen Mother) of the Abura State.

Prof. Klutse wholeheartedly accepted the honor, stating that she is ready and willing to serve her people in this new capacity. The Omanhen then advised her to return with her family head so that they could discuss and set a date for her official enstoolment and the swearing of the oath of secrecy before the Omanhene and the Abura Traditional Council.
Both parties agreed that she would return with her family head to finalize the arrangements.
Additionally, Prof. Klutse used the occasion to invite the chiefs of Abura State to her upcoming annual lecture at the University of Ghana on March 27, 2025, at 5 PM.

Her acceptance of this traditional role highlights her dedication not only to environmental protection but also to the development and progress of the Abura State.
