Saudi Arabian’s The Green Falcons showed no reverence for their much fancied Argentine side in their Tuesday clash.

Despite La Albiceleste scoring an early goal via record-breaking talisman Lionel Messi, the Saudis brought their A-game and pressed the Argentine midfield and defense with Al-Dawsari eventually scoring a sweet right-footed goal to evaporate any chance of the Argentines’ coming back into the game although they had two goals disallowed.

After deftly controlling a loose ball, Al-Dawsari, facing away from goal, turned inside to bewilder two Argentina defenders before sidestepping a third and launching a rocket of a shot in the far corner, sending the army of green-clad Saudi fans into fevered celebration.

Under Frenchman Hervé Renard, the Falcons look pretty sharp, playing like uncaged birds, registering the biggest World Cup upset since the tournament began in 1930 in the 2-1 thriller.
