When AJ Sarpong expressed gratitude to Godfred ‘Richest Man’ Odoom for teaching her music play and selection, Blakkpepper’s antennas were up.

It didn’t help with her ominous laugh which showed there was something she wasn’t saying. When Rita Chantel Anombase hosted the Brunch In The Citi show on Monday Feb. 27, without indicating she was a sit-in host for AJ Sarpong, it was clear the bubbly lady had bid her goodbye on Friday, Feb. 24.

It’s now confirmed the lady who crossed the media carpet from Starr FM and GH One TV has resigned from Omni Media Limited’s Citi FM and Citi TV.

The broadcast journalist had served nearly six years at the Accra based media house and its unclear where she’s now headed.

Her resignation comes on the heels of sports man Daniel Koranteng and DJ JayJay also leaving the Adabraka (Citi FM) and Tesano (Citi TV) stations.

Earlier, the Citi ship had also leaked water in the persons of Jessica Opare Saforo (drive-time host), Kojo Akoto Boateng (morning show), Olele Salvador (entertainment), Fentuo Tahiru (sports) and Kwame Dadzie (entertainment).

It’s unclear why the human resource at Citi are making the jump despite expansionist drive being made by management in moving to a new storey structure for their TV operation at Tesano near Crystal Palm Hotel.

AJ Sarpong’s last big show was the special Valentine’s show which tested the fidelity of partners on the Brunch In The Citi show.

AJ Sarpong holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the Ghana Institute of Journalism and Master’s degree in Brands and Communication Management from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA). She is also a professional events MC.
