Elizabeth Omodele Olympio was honored as the Best Graduating Student in Tour Guiding Skills 2024, at the 2025 Graduation Ceremony of the Hotel, Catering, and Tourism Training Institute (HOTCATT), an achievement she describes as both humbling and inspiring.
Her success stems from resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication. At HOTCATT, her hard work culminated in double recognition at the 2025 graduation ceremony. Expressing heartfelt gratitude, Elizabeth thanked HOTCATT’s management, faculty, and colleagues, with special appreciation for everyone who supported her journey.
Looking forward, Elizabeth urged her peers to innovate, inspire, and elevate Ghana’s hospitality industry to promote tourism. She shared these guiding principles: “As we enter the professional world, let us commit to integrity, even when no one is watching. Treat every guest as a cherished visitor in your home. Lead with empathy, manage with compassion, and embrace innovation while honoring tradition. Above all, remember that hospitality is an act of generosity; not just of service, but of spirit.
The hospitality industry is evolving rapidly, driven by technology, sustainability, and changing guest expectations. Yet, the core of our work remains timeless: making people feel valued, welcomed, and cared for. As we adopt new innovations, let us never lose the human touch that defines true hospitality.”
