As the Ghana’s Black Stars lace their boots to face their Group H foes A Seleção ‘The Selection’ (Portugal), Taegeuk Warriors (South Korea) and La Celeste ‘The Sky Blue’ (Uruguay) at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, we take a look at the 13 goals produced at their 3 world cup appearances in Germany, South Africa and Brazil.

Striker Asamoah ‘Baby Jet’ Gyan leads the pack with the most goals (6) whiles the likes of André Ayew, Stephen Appiah, Sulley Muntari and Haminu Dramani contribute to the tally.

The Black Stars face off with the A Seleção in their first game on Nov. 24 before playing the Taegeuk Warriors and the La Celeste on Nov. 28 and Dec. 2 respectively.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup runs from Nov. 20 to Dec. 18, 2022.

Meanwhile the Ghanaian contingent have arrived in Abu Dhabi, Qatar to wrap up their preparation with an international friendly against Switzerland’s senior male team the ‘Red Crosses’ at the Baniyas Stadium on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022.

Players settled on by coach Otto Addo to represent Ghana at the football mundial include Danlad Ibrahim, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Nurudeen Abdul Manaf, Mohammed Salisu, Daniel Amartey, Denis Odoi, and Baba Abdul Rahman.

Others who earned a call-up are Antoine Semenyo, Tariq Lamptey, Osman Bukari, Thomas Partey, Inaki Williams, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Daniel Barnieh Afriyie, Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Gideon Mensah, Alidu Seidu, Salis Abdul Samed, Elisha Owusu, Kamal Sowah, Mohammed Kudus, Daniel Kofi Kyereh, Alexander Djiku and Kamal Deen Sulemana.
