As if it wasn’t enough that Kobe Bryant only had 4 hours of sleep a night, many were stunned to know his last meal before his demise on Jan. 26, 2020 was a shake made of peanut butter, banana, almond milk, and vanilla protein powder.

Regarding the little amount of sleep Bryant was taking, it’s emerged polyphasic and biphasic sleepers break up their sleep into multiple sessions so that they can sleep less and still function normally. Kobe thus broke his sleep into two two-hour sessions, giving him a total of around 4 hours of sleep a night.

Regarding his meal choices, Kobe Bryant’s favorite dishes were said to be the carne asada tostada, carnitas, and flan, complete with a cantaloupe agua fresca according to Rodolfo Garcia.

It is well known even after his retirement, the ‘Black Mamba’ who won 7 rings decided to keep fit and continued to work out.

A protein shake is preferred after workouts for recovery and so his peanut butter, banana, almond milk, and vanilla protein powder shake might have been taken after an intense session and just before his helicopter crash that also claimed his 13-year-old daughter Gianna.
