Black Stars coach at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar Otto Addo has reiterated he has a contract with German side Borussia Dortmund which bars him from taking the Stars job on a permanent basis.
“……….I have a contract with Dortmund and I have to respect that. Even to come here was very difficult. The Ghana Football Association (GFA) had to put in a lot of effort to release me……,” the former Ghana international submitted at the press conference after the Stars exit.
The position I have as a talent coach is crucial in Dortmund Otto Addo stressed, adding irrespective of the outcome of Ghana’s advancement in Qatar, he was always going to relinquish the post and return to his day job as agreed by the GFA and the Borussia Dortmund board.

In effect the Black Stars settled on a 6-month contract with Otto Addo while he retains a two and half year contract with Borussia Dortmund.
